Wednesday, July 25

Raspberries are still being picked. You can purchase them by the pint at the ice cream shop during the hours of noon and 9 pm daily.

Or treat yourself to a fresh raspberry shake or raspberry sundae. Short on time- ask for a pint of ice cream to go.

The Farm Market will reopen in early August with our own farm fresh peaches and Ronald (the garden caretaker) says peppers, eggplant, tomatoes and other vegetables should be ready to pick too. ( He planted beans and sweet corn but I am not aware of their ripening dates.) Look for apples at the end of August.

Keep checking the blog for updates. Or you can always call the farm at (845) 255-0693.

Saturday, July 21

Blueberry season has ended. BUT- you can still purchase red raspberries by the pint! Raspberries are available at the ice cream shop from noon to 9 pm daily. They are really sweet and you'll find yourself eating half the pint before you get home. Helpful hint-get a pint of vanilla ice cream to go along with it.

How about a fresh raspberry shake? Or a fresh raspberry sundae. We're counting down the days to fresh peaches. It won't be long now.

The Farm Market is closed for a short time. We're waiting for the veggies from the garden. We should be able to open in early August with garden vegetables and this year's peach crop.

If you have any questions, you can always contact us at (845) 255-0693.

Strawberries season has ended for 2007

U-Pic strawberries has come to an end for this year. We would like to thank those of you who came and picked. It is because of your interest in picking that we continue this program.

If you took advantage of our four evening pickings and thought that it worked out well for you, please let us know via email or a phone call. That goes the same for other suggestions for strawberry picking. We'd like to hear from you.

Thanks for coming out and picking. We'll see you next June for more berry picking.
