LAST CHANCE FOR STRAWBERRIES

June 30, 2008- This will be the last week of strawberries. We will have strawberries in the farm market all week and possibly the weekend of July 5 and 6.

U-Pick- U-Pick strawberries will be open this week everyday from 8am to noon. Friday, July 4 will be the last day to pick. Evening picking will be open on Thursday from 6-8pm BUT NOT THE EVENING OF JULY 4.

BLUEBERRIES AND RASPBERRIES: We have blueberries and raspberries available at the farm market. The blueberries come from New Jersey and the raspberries are our own.

Week of June 23

U-PICK STRAWBERRY INFO: You can pick you own strawberries and save from the store price. We are at the peak of the season. Don't wait too long-the berries decrease in size as the season progresses. Anyway, the hours are daily 8am to noon and Thursday and Friday evenings 6pm to 8pm. IMPORTANT-THE LOCATION OF THE PATCH CHANGES SO CHECK WITH US BY PHONE OR STOP BY THE FARM MARKET AND READ THE SIGN.

There are containers at the patch available to you at no cost. The price of picking is $1.95 per pound.

STRAWBERRIES AT THE MARKET: This is the week for savings. We are at the peak of the season and berries are plentiful. If you're thinking of freezing berries for the winter and can't get out to pick, we've got deals for you.

ICE CREAM SHOP: The ice cream shop is open daily noon to 9pm and later on Friday and Saturday nights.

TUESDAY, JUNE 17

U-PICK STRAWBERRY INFO: U-pick strawberries is now open. The hours to pick are as follows:

Every morning from 8am to noon. and

Thursday and Fridays evenings 6pm to 8pm.

The cost is $1.95 per pound. Containers are supplied free of charge.

Stop by the farm market for directions to the patch we are using on the day you come to pick. We have several patches which we will be rotating around.

FARM MARKET: If you're not a u-picker, you can stop by the farm market and "pick" up a quart. It is open from 9:30 to 5:30pm everyday. This week they have some specials to save you a little money.

June 16 Strawberry U-Pick

U-PICK UPDATES: U-Pick strawberry will begin tomorrow, Tuesday June 17. The hours for the season will be:

Everyday 8 a.m. to noon. Evening hours will be Thursday and Friday only from 6pm to 8pm.

The cost will be $1.95 per pound. Containers will be provided free of charge.

WHERE IS THE PATCH? We rotate our patches around to insure that picking is good for everyone. Check the signs at the Farm Market for directions to the day's patch. You can also call 845-255-0693. Look for the red and white Dressel signs to help guide you.

HOW LONG WILL U-PICK LAST? The length of the picking season depends on the weather. Generally we pick through the month of June. Keep in the mind the longer you wait, the smaller the berry size.

STRAWBERRY INFO: Strawberries are available at the farm market daily. The hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm. Yesterday we sold out of berries and had to close early. Father's Day weekend is upon us. It is our busiest. So if you have your heart set on fresh berries for dad I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO COME EARLY AND GET THEM! Currently the price is $4.50 per quart but I heard rumors that could change.

U-PIC INFORMATION: U-pic strawberries will open some day during the week of June 16. You will need to stop by the farm market for directions to the patch we are opening for that day. (There are several patches we rotate using.) Signs will be posted to help guide you. The times (once we do open) will be daily 8am to noon and evening hours Thursdays and Fridays 6pm to 8pm. Containers will be supplied free of charge. The cost will be by the pound. Keep checking for updates.

APPLES AND CIDER: Apples and cider are available at the farm market. Fuji and Goldens are all that is left. Cider is sold by the 1/2 gallon and by the gallon.

ICE CREAM SHOP: Have you been waiting for fresh strawberry shakes? They are the best! The shop is open daily noon to 9pm and open later on Fridays and Saturdays.

STRAWBERRY: Good morning. We survived the nasty storm last night. The pickers were out early this morning. Berries are available by the quart at the Farm Market. It is open daily from 9:30 am to 5:30pm. The number to call for information is (845) 255-0693.

APPLES & CIDER: Fuji and Golden Delicious are being sold at the farm market. Cider is available by the 1/2 gallon and gallon.

ICE CREAM: Ice Cream Shop is open daily noon to 9pm and open until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. We now are serving fresh strawberry sundaes and shakes!

It's strawberry time!

STRAWBERRY UPDATE: Today we picked the first of the strawberries. They are available at the farm market daily. It is open from 9:30 am to 5:30pm. Berries are sold $4.50 per quart.
U-Pick start date, times and price has not yet been established.

APPLES AND CIDER: Fuji and Golden Delicious are available at the farm market. Cider is too. We are near the end of the apples but they are still good.

ICE CREAM: Ice Cream is open daily noon to 9pm Sunday through Thursday. We are open an extra hour on Fridays and Saturdays. Now that strawberries are in we can offer fresh strawberry sundaes and shakes.

STRAWBERRY UPDATE: No new news yet. We are still looking at berries ripening around the middle of June. Updates will come as I get them. Everything is dependent of the weather from now on.

ICE CREAM SHOP: Open daily noon to 9pm. Extended hour on Fridays and Saturdays.

APPLES AND CIDER: The only apples available at this point are Fuji. Cider is still be made for a short time more. Go to the ice cream shop and let the person at the window know you need apples and/or cider.
