ICE CREAM: Ice cream is open daily Sunday through Thursday noon to 9pm, Fridays and Saturdays noon to 10pm.

APPLES AND CIDER: Apples and cider are now kept at the ice cream shop. Just let the person attending the ice cream know that you are interested in apples and/or cider and they will be glad to help you.

STRAWBERRIES: Strawberries are in bloom. With any luck, we will have plenty of strawberries. When? That's the million dollar question. So, check back here frequently. As I get updated, so will the blog. If you're looking for a definite date, sorry I can't give it to you.

As always, you can direct your easy questions to (845) 255-0693. If you prefer, you can also email me at debdressel@aol.com. I will do my best to help.

Memorial Day Weekend

The Ice Cream Shop will be open, of course. The hours are: Sunday through Thursday noon to 9pm, Fridays and Saturdays noon to 10pm. This year we have soft-serve yogurt!

APPLES AND CIDER: We have moved the apples and cider to the ice cream shop. You can still purchase apples and cider. However, the varieities are limited. So if you are looking for a particular variety save the gas and call first. The number is (845) 255-0693.

STRAWBERRY UPDATE: Due to a hard frost earlier this month, the first of the strawberries will not be available at the farm market until APPROXIMATELY June 12. The U-Pick usually begins a week after the farm market begins selling berries. Keep checking the website for updates.

As always, call the farm if you have any questions. Remember we cannot make the berries grow and ripen any faster. Pray for sunshine and warmer temps!

May 19 Update

The Ice Cream Shop is open daily with soft-serve ice cream and yogurt. There are also hard ice cream choices too!

Apples and cider are still available at the warehouse daily. However, your variety choices are limited so if you are looking for something special, save the gas and call the farm at (845) 255-0693.

STRAWBERRY UPDATE: Strawberries will begin AROUND THE SECOND WEEK OF JUNE. Due to a frost, the plants (more importantly the blossoms) were damaged. This is significant since they would have been the first berries to be ready. Check back frequently for updates. As you know, the weather affects the opening day for strawberries.

Thanks for your interest. We will continue to keep you posted.

May 12, 2008

The Ice Cream Shop is open! The hours are Sunday through Thursday noon to 9pm and Fridays and Saturdays noon to 10pm.

Don't look for strawberries too early in June. The frost last week hurt the blossoms of the early varieity. Keep checking the blog for updates.

Apples and cider are still available at the warehouse.

As always, we can be reached at (845) 255-0693.

May 2008

The Ice Cream Shop will be open for the season at noon on Sunday, May 11. We will feature our soft-serve ice cream, Perry's hard ice cream and the famous Farmer Dodd Sundaes. New this year are wild cherry and black raspberry sundaes AND soft-serve yogurt.

The owners of Segway will be around from noon to 3pm to give demonstrations.

And it wouldn't be Spring without animals. Just yesterday 11 chicks hatched and they are already running around the chicken house.

Those of you looking for apples can purchase them at the warehouse behind the ice cream shop. There are several varieties available-hard and crunchy.

As always, you can call us at (845) 255-0693.

The animals will be around for your viewing pleasure too.

Trees are in bloom. The honey bees are working. Young trees and grapevines are being planted. Look for strawberries around early June. Check the blog for updates.
