Apple season will be drawing to a close soon, but there's still enough left on the trees for one more weekend of Pick-Your-Own!
We will be open this weekend, October 31-November 1, with our normal hours of 10-5. Late varieties are all still available including Fuji, Rome, Mutsu/Crispin, Red Delicious, Northern Spy and Golden Delicious.
If you're interested in Fuji, take a look at this:
Those are all Fuji apples. We left this block unpicked just for you! Come pick them before they fall to the ground!
Don't forget- the roadstand is open daily with all varieties of apples, fresh-pressed cider, fresh daily cider donuts, and much more!

Don't forget the Hot Mulled Cider!
The weather is definitely turning colder, reminding us that the harvest season won't last forever. Pick-Your-Own will be open this weekend as usual. At this point, we do plan on being open for Halloween weekend. If there are any changes, they will be announced here when the decision is made.
All varieties are ready for picking. We still have LOTS of Fuji, plenty of Empires and Red Delicious, and loads of others as well. If you're looking for it, it's probably here.
Once again, hours remain the same. Any questions, please call the farm during regular business hours.

Thanks for a great weekend!
Columbus Day Weekend was a big success! Thanks to everyone who came out and visited us on the farm. We had some amazing weather almost all weekend and despite the big crowd, everyone had an great time and picked plenty of apples.
Columbus Day is usually the pinnacle of the year around here, but we sometimes forget that we have at least two more solid weeks for picking. This coming weekend will be a great one for Pick-Your-Own. The weather is just brisk enough to remind you that a cup of hot mulled cider would go GREAT with that doughnut. Not to mention the warm apple crisp a la mode from the ice cream stand.
All varieties are ripe for picking now and there are still plenty on the trees to choose from. Highlights include all the late-season Fuji, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Macoun, Mutsu (aka Crispen), Ida Red and Staymen (aka Winesap).
Don't forget about your Halloween Jack-O-Lantern! We've still got lots of great pumpkins of all sizes out in the patch, as well as around the roadstand for you to pick from.
Hours for everything remain the same. If you have any questions, please call. (845) 255-0693

Notes about Columbus Day Weekend
In case you weren't aware (but I'm sure you were), this weekend is Columbus Day Weekend. That means that we'll be open Saturday, Sunday AND Monday this week! Hours for Monday are the same (10-5), and everything that's usually available on the weekend will be available on Monday, as well. The weather looks great, and all varieties are ready to pick!
Please be aware- This is a VERY busy weekend on the farm. Please be considerate of the farm and your fellow pickers! A little patience and common courtesy goes a long way. We'll see you in the orchard!

Attention Chestnut Lovers
The Hudson Valley was pummeled with high winds yesterday. It didn't make it very fun climbing ladders to pick apples, but what it DID do was blow virtually every chestnut out of the trees. What was a pretty bare lawn last weekend has been covered in chestnuts! Take a look:
Nevermind walking around looking for them...you'll have a hard time not stepping on them! But don't wait! They'll be all picked through this weekend, I'm sure.

Chestnuts?
There seem to be a few early chestnuts falling this week. Most of the burs are still green and holding strong on the tree, but we've found a few on the ground for any anxious chestnut enthusiasts.
PLEASE NOTE! If the chestnuts are still in the trees THEY ARE NOT READY YET! PLEASE do not try to knock chestnuts out of the tree or attempt to climb the trees! They will fall when they're ready.
