December 2007 Farm Market

With the holidays upon us, you can still find your favorite apples for those pies, crisps and fresh eating. And don't forget the mulled cider! Firewood is available in three different quantities from fireplace bundles to cords of wood. Bales of straw sold too. Use it to mulch your strawberries or keep your family pet warm on cold nights.

The Farm Market is open daily. The hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturdays 9am to 4pm and Sundays 11am to 4pm. Check us out at our winter location. Look for the soda machine at the warehouse.

As for the rest of the farm, we finished covering the strawberry plants for the winter. The orchard is mowed to help keep the mice population down and work is underway to remove some older apple trees. There is always something to do.

As always, if you have any questions you can contact us at (845) 255-0693 or email debdressel@aol.com. Stay safe and warm.

MOVING DAY AND NEW HOURS!

Today is moving day for the Farm Market! We have relocated to our showroom off of the warehouse. Drive down the driveway and look for the soda machine. (The soda machine is located on the porch of the winter showroom.)

The new hours are:

Monday thru Friday 9am to 5pm
Saturday 9am to 4pm and
Sunday 11am to 4pm

Because we are a wholesale apple farm, we can supply you with fresh, crispy apples throughout the winter and spring months. We will also continue to press apple cider!

November 1, 2007

The Farm Market is open daily 10am to 5pm with apples, cider, donuts and pies. There are still pumpkins available for cooking and decoration. The Market will be open throughout the winter months with many varieities of apples and fresh cider. (We relocate to the winter showroom after Thanksgiving.)

U-pick apples, pumpkins and chestnuts are now closed for the season. It was a terrific season and we thank you for making it so. The weather this Fall was exceptional. Our next U-pick will be strawberries sometime in June.

The Ice Cream shop closed Sunday at 5pm. It too had an incredible Fall. Look for us to reopen on Mother's Day 2008 at noon. If all goes well we should have soft serve yogurt added to our list!

As always, if you have any questions give us a call at (845) 255-0693.

LAST WEEKEND FOR U-PICK APPLES!

It's the end of October already and what a Fall it has been. U-pick apple will be open (rain or shine) this weekend 10 am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday. There are plenty of Fuji, Staymen, Granny Smith and Rome to pick. There are still a few Reds, Goldens and Idareds left to pick.
The haywagon will be running unless the weather makes it unsafe to drive. (U-pick apple will close for the season at 5pm on Sunday.)

The corn maze is still standing and in pretty good shape. If we get a lot of rain, however, I would recommend a pair of boots. The maze can get pretty messy after a soaking rain.

Check the Farm Market too. It is open until 5:30. We are still picking sweet corn and tomatoes. With the chilly temperatures expected, try some hot apple cider or hot chocolate. A warm apple cider donut goes great with either drink.

Pumpkin pickers can enjoy picking from the patch or any where around the market. They are available to pick daily. There are also pie pumpkins for those ambitious enough to make pumpkin pie from scratch.

The u-pick chestnut program is over for the year. All that's left to do is rake!

If you have any questions about the weekend, apples, etc. give us a call at (845) 255-0693.
