U-PICK APPLES: Join us on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 5pm for apple picking. Looking for Gala or McIntosh? It's time to pick these varieities. The others are not yet ready to pick (even though they look it). The cost is 95 cents per pound.

HOW DOES U-PICK APPLE WORK? Using the driveway with the farm sign, park in the designated area. Go to the white booth where Pearl, Harold, Eugene and Farmer Dodd will get you started. They will give you a bucket to pick in, tell you what is ready to pick and get you headed in the right direction. A haywagon runs a loop around the orchard all day. Pick your apples and return to Pearl to check out.

Don't forget to pick up some cider, donuts, and fresh vegetables at the farm market before you leave! How about a delicious fresh raspberry shake or bite of warm apple crisp too!

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO WHILE YOU ARE IN NEW PALTZ? It's a busy weekend in our area. On Saturday, you can go to Majestic Park in Gardiner for Gardiner Day. This is a great family time and it's rain or shine. On Sunday at the Ulster County Fairgrounds, the Taste of New Paltz held by the Chamber of Commerce. Here's a chance to sample the area restaurants' best dishes.

So whether you're in New Paltz to visit your college kid, around for the great mountain view or just needed to get away, enjoy your weekend. We can be reached at 845-255-0693.
